2015 eCommerce Expo: Our recap

Andrew - 09.10.2015

One week on from 2015 eCommerce Expo, we’ve had time to get back into the swing of things and reflect on what we’ve learnt from this year’s conference and all the amazing individuals, startups and businesses we had a chance to meet!

From website builders, hosting companies, email marketing experts, payment and checkout specialists, packaging and pick and pack professionals to 3PL firms, absolutely every corner of the ecommerce sector was represented at the event.

It was great for us at Electio to speak to so many of these companies to get their thoughts on the direction the sector is moving in and, most importantly, what we can do as an industry to make the customer experience better.

We noticed a real shift, too, towards international import and export – it’s really positive to see so many firms starting to trade in the UK and looking for ways to use technology to manage their deliveries to a new customer base.

Over on the Electio stand, we were doing the first full demo of our new delivery management platform, which makes it super easy to add carriers, start delivering products internationally, and slice reporting data to analyse efficiency.

From a need to offer more delivery options, to a desire for quick and easy to integrate technology designed to solve 2015 industry problems, it was great to see companies looking at our solution for the answer.

Improved parcel tracking and communication with customers was a hot topic, while many complained of a need for better integration between carriers.

Although we’re a new player, we’re getting a lot of attention (including a rather unexpected appearance on a Persian TV station!) and visits from major businesses in the retail space was a big reassurance that we’re doing things right.

And did we mention how great our stand looked?! Thanks again to DC3 Design for that and to Thunderstorm FX for the brilliant video that showed exactly what our technology can offer retailers looking for an alternative in delivery management.

But if you couldn’t make it down to London last week, don’t panic – you can arrange a free demo of our software, follow us on LinkedIn to find out more about our product or get in touch with us at any time.

See you all next year!
