MPD Group to double workforce following Manchester move

MPD Group, the Manchester-based tech business behind delivery management brands  Electio and My Parcel Delivery, has revealed plans to hire a raft of new recruits after moving to a new office in the city centre.

The firm has relocated to Merchant Exchange on Whitworth Street West to support its growth ambitions and now intends to hire 12 .net developers in its Electio business, on top of the five already taken on so far this year.

In 2015, the company expanded its marketing team with the appointment of a new marketing director, Susie Lee-Kilgariff, followed by the appointment of Tom White as content specialist, Mark Slater as design manager and a string of other hires.

MPD Group’s CEO, David Grimes, said: “This move is an important step for us as we continue to grow.

“We’re committed to attracting the North’s top talent and moving into the accessible location of Manchester city centre plays a huge part in that.“

He continued: “The North West has one of the most vibrant and exciting tech scenes in Europe and we’re proud to be a part of it.

“It’s now time to invest in our staff and attract future talent by providing a fantastic office environment right in the heart of the Northern Powerhouse.“
